Little Freddie Highmore has grown up considerably since August Rush and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He’s now taking on the iconic role of Norman Bates in Bates Motel on A&E which premieres next Monday.
However, the big star-studded Hollywood premiere happens tomorrow and StarCam will be on the red carpet to snag exclusive interviews! (Watch the extended, behind-the-scenes trailer below!)
Bates Motel serves as a contemporary prequel to the genre-defining film Psycho and promises to give viewers an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates’ psyche unravels through his teenage years.
Norman’s mother, Norma Bates, is played by Vera Farmiga who continues to captivate audiences with her ability to embody each of her diverse and engaging roles. As Norma, "she is emotionally complex and utterly devoted to her son, constantly juggling her own needs and some hardcore baggage while trying to create a new home in a new town for herself and Norman."
