The series premiere of "Bates Motel" got off to a solid start last night on A&E, with 4.6 million total viewers over multiple airings including 2.5 million adults 25-54 and 2.4 million adults 18-49.The official 10 p.m. premiere airing drew 3 million total viewers and 1.6 million adults 18-49 and 25-54. That makes "Bates Motel" A&E's most-watched original drama series debut in the network's key 18-49 and 25-54 demos.While the premiere's total viewers are lower than the network's scripted success "Longmire" -- which routinely drew around 4 million viewers throughout its first season -- "Bates" had a stronger performance in the key demos.
